Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1. The Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ – Hallelujah, He is Risen, Hallelujah! Christ, by His own power and authority has risen from the dead! Where is your sting, oh death? Death is defeated and our faith is confirmed in His rising. How glorious this Mystery as it is the most important of them all as our very Catholic and Apostolic faith rests on this singular event! This is why we reflect meditatively on this Mystery and pray to obtain the spiritual fruit of Faith.

2. The Ascension of Jesus Christ into Heaven – Our Lord Jesus, in this Glorious Mystery, Ascends into Heaven as His Disciples and all His followers watch. He then was and is seated at the right hand of the Father given all power and authority over all and through Him all was made which was also for Him. It is He who is Christ, the King of all things in the earth, above and below it. Be all Glory, Honor, Blessings, and Praise to the Lamb of God who was slain for the sins of the world and by His own authority rose from the dead and rules in Heaven above all! It is this magnificent Mystery that we valiantly meditate on obtaining the spiritual fruit of supernatural Hope in the resurrection. 3. The Descent of the Holy Ghost - “[1] And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place: [2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. [3] And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them: [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak. [5] Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.” - Acts 2:1-5. And many were added to the Church because of this great miracle of the Holy Ghost! Let us courageously pray for the spiritual grace for the Love of the Blessed Trinity as we meditate on this holy Mystery!

4. The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven – Dogmatically defined by Holy Mother Church as divinely revealed truth, we contemplate the sublime assumption, body and soul, of the mother of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary. She who, before she was born, was set aside and kept from Original Sin to be the Theotokos (God-Bearer). The Immaculate Mother, the Seat of Wisdom, the collection of all God's graces, and Co-Mediatrix of the salvation of souls who with Christ “reveals the hearts of many” in pure allegiance to the one true savior Jesus Christ. This is why we pray for the spiritual fruit of Union with Christ.

5. The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary – In this Mystery we meditate the majesty of Our Lady's Crowning Queen of Heaven and Earth. She, though not equal with Christ, reigns beside Christ for the edification and intercession of human souls that we may be saved. The Blessed Virgin Mary has been given great authority to effect God's holy will and has, as verified by the Catholic Church, throughout the centuries appeared before great and small to give heavenly messages, miracles, and hope to countless souls. In meditating on this Mystery we take special care to recognize her dominion as queen of heaven and earth while asking for intercession, we pray for the spiritual fruit of Union with Mary.

However, there are some that also use another set of Mysteries, of which were not introduced in the original rosary given to St. Dominic by Our Lady but rather,On Wednesday, October 16, Pope John Paul II published the apostolic letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae by which he decreed the Year of the Rosary, to run from October 2002 to October 2003. He also proposed five new mysteries to the meditation of the faithful.
